Custom Patch Panels

Custom patch panels are quoted, designed, and produced every single day at VADCON - some are
simple variations of stock a patch panel, while others are more involved true custom patch panels.

Please note if you're a DIYer most of our products are available unloaded - this allows you to purchase connectors separately
and load yourself - also the Adapter Plate or Modular Advantage allows you to build many products in custom layouts, with various connectors.

How to request a quote for a Custom Patch Panel

First Step
Review the 4 basic options below for producing custom patch panels.

1) Utilize a Stock Patch Panel - Sample Portfolio As many different connectors will fit the same size hole we can often put multiple types of connectors in the same stock panel. This chart will help determine if the multiple connectors you need can fit within the same mounting hole. This chart will help determine what stock patch panels are available with the same mounting holes. If this is a possible option we can most likely produce your custom layout within 1 to 2 business days.

2) Utilize a 1RU Adapter Plate Patch Panel - Sample Portfolio Our 1RU Adapter Plate Patch Panel has 16 "open" ports that allow various adapter plates that hold multiple types of connectors. This allows for unlimited layout possibilities that can be produced within 1 to 2 business days in most cases.

3) Utilize a 2RU Modular Advantage Patch Panel - Sample Portfolio Our 2RU Modular Advantage Patch Panel holds 6 module plates. We have many various module plates that each can hold multiple types of connectors. This allows for unlimited layout possibilities that can be produced within 1 to 2 business days in most cases.

4) Produce a True Custom Patch Panel - Sample Portfolio If neither of the options above will suit your needs then we would produce a true custom patch panel. True custom patch panels involve design and production time which can average 2 to 4 weeks to completion.

Click to open your email client - leave the email open so you can add info as we move along. 1) Always refer to "Patch Panel" in your email - any other name will confuse the process. 2) Start with your First and Last Name and a good daytime telephone number in case we need to contact you directly. 3) Indicate which of the 4 options from above you think will best suit your needs. 4) Indicate if the patch panel needs to be of a particular size (1RU, 2RU, 3RU, etc) for options 1 & 3 only. 5) Review the chart of available of connector options and let us know what connectors you want. Be very specific - Many connectors will have multiple options - we need to know exactly which you need! For instance don't just tell us "DB9" - as the list shows there are 4 choices for DB9 - Female to Female, Male to Male, Female to Male, or Male to Female. Note: If you don't see a connector you want/need don't be afraid to ask - we'll do our best to accommodate. 6) If you have a preferred layout for the connectors please note what it is - for example: "Top Row BNC 75 Ohm Isolated Bulkheads - Bottom Row SMA Bulkheads". 7) Indicate how many of the custom patch panels you need and if you have a deadline, what the deadline is. 8) Provide any other info you feel is important to your request.

Female to Female, Male to Male, Female to Male, or Male to Female.

Note: If you don't see a connector you want/need don't be afraid to ask - we'll do our best to accommodate.

6) If you have a preferred layout for the connectors please note what it is - for example:
"Top Row BNC 75 Ohm Isolated Bulkheads - Bottom Row SMA Bulkheads".

7) Indicate how many of the custom patch panels you need and if you have a deadline, what the deadline is.

8) Provide any other info you feel is important to your request.

Send us the email! We'll contact you if we require additional information. Once all the details are worked out we'll reply with a link to a custom quote/order page - usually within 48 hours.
